Rodney Hockaday

Rodney has been a passionate member of the real estate and building industry since his teenage years. From cleaning up construction sites to helping out with the family brokerage firm, Rodney has been continuously investing in his knowledge of the industry. Growing up in the local area, Rodney graduated from York High School before earning his Bachelor’s Degree in Building Construction from Virginia Tech. After graduating from VT, he went to work in homebuilding for a large regional building firm, and in 1998 started his own homebuilding company in Gloucester.

Currently, Rodney is a Managing Associate Broker and REALTOR® at NextHome Coast to Country Real Estate. After being licensed since 1992, Rodney has been applying his experience to educate and guide his customers and clients through the process of buying and selling, discussing current trends to ensure their up-to-date knowledge of the real estate market.

Rodney resides in York County with his wife Amanda, while also owning property in Gloucester County. He has two children, Kylee and Jacob, & two step-children, Kendall and Cameron. With his honesty and willingness to help, Rodney is a driving force in real estate, continuing to invest in his knowledge and expertise in the industry.
